Luke Combs teamed up with Columbia Sportswear for a livestream event Wednesday, May 6, 2020.
The country superstar who’s also an ambassador for Columbia Performance Fishing Gear, sat down for a virtual concert and Q&A with fans on social media as part of the sporting company’s weekly #TougherTogether series. The livestream aired on Combs’ Instagram account at 8 p.m. ET.
The singer’s performance supported Columbia’s financial donation to Captains For Clean Water, a nonprofit organized by a group of local fishermen in Florida working to protect the estuaries so that residents have access to clean water.
There were “a few surprise songs” from Combs, in addition to sharing insight on quarantine life and his favorite fishing memories. Combs played his recently released song about the COVID-19 crisis, titled, “Six Feet Apart. “I miss my mom, I miss my dad, I miss the road, I miss my band, giving hugs and shaking hands,” Combs sings in the ballad, accompanied only by his acoustic guitar. “It’s a mystery, I suppose , Just how long this thing goes.”
