Bob Brooks wins Sam Galloway Community Leadership Award

November 13, 2024
Congratulations Bob Brooks on being honored with the Sam Galloway Community Leadership Award!

Each year, the Sam Galloway Community Leadership Award recognizes a leader within the community who goes above and beyond to support Captains For Clean Water, dedicating personal time and resources to the clean-water movement.

This year’s honoree, Bob Brooks, has been a passionate supporter of CFCW since day one. He’s a true steward of our environment, a leader in the fight, and a mentor to many on our team.

From Sanibel beaches to Tallahassee and D.C., he’s always looking for an opportunity to spread our mission and advocate for our waters.

“Captains for Clean Water has inspired a community-wide movement to protect our environment, ensuring that future generations can experience the beauty and health of these waters,” Brooks said in a social media post. “Their work is vital, and it’s given us all a sense of hope and empowerment.”

“The commitment [Captains For Clean Water] have shown in tackling water quality issues, educating the public, and advocating for policy change is invaluable, and it reminds us all of the importance of standing together for our shared natural heritage. The award may be in my hands, but it truly belongs to everyone who has been part of this mission to protect and restore the waters we love.”

Congratulations on being this year’s winner, Bob, and thank you for the endless support in the fight!
