Guide Emergency Relief Fund
The Captains For Clean Water Emergency Relief Fund is reserved exclusively to fishing guides within Lee, Collier, Charlotte Counties. Captains For Clean Water (CFCW) will consider applicants that meet the fund’s specifications.
Those receiving funds must meet the following criteria:
- Licensed & insured – Proof required
- Full time guide
- Reside in Lee, Collier, or Charlotte
- Charter boat captain that has been significantly impacted by Hurricane Ian, and will be experiencing loss of income due to the storm.
Financial Assistance
These funds were granted to CFCW by Collaboratory and are earmarked exclusively for the CFCW Emergency Relief Fund.
- Eligible for a one time payment only.
- Funds will be granted at the discretion of the CFCW Board of Directors where all aforementioned information will be taken into consideration.
- Guides are not required to pay back any granted amount.
- Grantees are responsible for any taxes related to receipt of grant.
- By applying, guides acknowledge that they are liable to related income taxes and will provide a W-9.
If approved, guides will receive financial means in an amount deemed reasonable by the CFCW Board of Directors in order to relieve you and your family of financial setbacks due to Hurricane Ian. These funds are limited and will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
