Capt. Terry Davis was born on July 6th, 1948. After high school, he joined the army, serving his country in Vietnam and Korea. After the service, he returned to Naples in 1975, working in commercial grouper and snapper fishing until 1985, when he formed Extreme Fishing—a private fishing charter business in Estero Bay.
He ran Extreme Fishing for next 30 years, providing his clients with unforgettable experiences on the water every day. He retired from guiding in 2015, but he didn’t stop sharing his love for the outdoors. Instead, he began running private airboat tours in the Everglades, seeing first-hand the need to save the River of Grass.
Capt. Terry lived his life immersed in the world he loved—on the water—sharing that world with others and creating new stewards of our estuaries. In lieu of sending flowers, his family requests that memorial contributions be made in Capt. Terry’s name to Captains For Clean Water.
