2018 accountability report
Despite the 2018 water crisis, our supporters helped advance Everglades restoration efforts and press for solutions. Because of your generous support, we were able to increase our advocacy efforts, create educational programs, and raise awareness across our communities and elected officials. This is 2018 in review.
Water Resources Development Act Signed Into Law by U.S. President on October 23, 2018.
Working together with other conservation groups and organizations to fight for clean water and healthy estuaries, Captains For Clean Water rallied supporters to take action, proving that Progress Happens when we work together. The Water Resources Development Act is a biennial bill that authorizes new water infrastructure projects, including Everglades restoration projects, and makes improvements to water programs across the country.

Supporters Took Action
Captains For Clean Water rallied citizens to contact their respective congressmen and senators.
In an effort to rally our supporters, we implemented a new call-to-action tool on our website in July 2018. This tool makes it easy for our supporters to write personalized emails to their elected officials asking them to support Everglades restoration during occasions when critical action is needed.
